Who we are

Willis Consulting Services, founded in 2001, has professionals with over 100 years of combined experience in the area of healthcare environmental services and other hospital support service management. The principals are:

Gene Willis - Founder and President, started his career with ServiceMaster as a management representative, rose to the rank of Vice President for the Eastern Region, and successfully completed his Masters in Business from the prestigious ServiceMaster Graduate Studies program.

Following a highly successful career with ServiceMaster, Willis was recruited as the Director of National Accounts for the Healthcare, Education, and Building Service Contractors for SC Johnson where he proved his business acumen by doubling the SC Johnson business base and by leading his national team in business retention. These two positions allowed Gene to have unique perspectives on both the service and supply side of the housekeeping business, as well as have a clear understanding of both contract management and in-house housekeeping programs.

Ralph Jones - Executive Vice President, Operations, is adept in all aspects of healthcare operations and management support. Beginning his career as an account manager, Ralph built his skills from the bottom up, having been responsible for housekeeping, linen and laundry operations management, engineering and foodservice as a director and general manager at several large facilities. He was quickly promoted to Regional Vice President of Housekeeping Operations for the Texas-based Hospital Housekeeping Systems, and was responsible for the effective operation of the Western Region.

Ralph is qualified not only in operations, but also has a keen eye for quality outcomes. He conducts in-depth hospital studies, both systems and stand-alone, that objectively analyze operational performance in the area of healthcare environmental services. Whether our clients desire quality reviews or RFP management, Jones is a proven performer in providing our customers with empirical data that allows them to make good business decisions with positive results.

Bob Scott - Vice President, Business Development, started his 14 year career with ServiceMaster in Healthcare Management Services dealing with EVS, Plant Operations and Maintenance, Laundry/Linen Services and Patient Transportation. He then had many years of sales success before becoming the first Corporate Director of Customer Satisfaction, focusing on “Voice of the Customer” studies to improve overall operations and training.

Bob was then recruited into the JohnsonDiversey Company where he spent 10 years, raising to AVP of National Account Sales for Healthcare and Building Service Contractors. In this position, he was able to help both contract management companies and in-house operations with their cleaning, supply chain, infection control, green cleaning, training and quality issues. His customers included all the major Healthcare Management Services companies, GPO’s and major Integrated Healthcare Systems.

Following those successful careers, Bob joined ARAMARK to put his stamp on the service industry working with major corporate leaders promoting “Green” cleaning and developing programs for healthy environments.

With over 27 years of industry experience, Bob is well qualified to listen to our clients and help them find solutions to their Cleaning, Service and Supply Chain needs.

Tim Short - Director of Training, has thirty years of experience with Diversey, the leading chemical company in the institutional marketplace. He held numerous positions within the company in both the Training and Sales areas. His area of concentration for the company was Health Care and the challenges of consolidation and tightening budgets.

Tim has extensive experience designing and writing training programs and has trained more than 3,000 people in his career in both procedural and supervisory skills. With a bi-lingual background in Spanish, he has trained customers in Latin America as well as bi-lingual programs throughout the country. Tim’s experience and industry knowledge will help your organization move from daily procedures toward “Best Practices”.
